The Performer
Headshot by Sarah Kozma
With nearly twenty years of experience on stage and behind the scenes, Jonathan Zalaski is an actor, singer, and mover, currently based in Northwestern Connecticut. Jonathan's passion for musical theatre began at the age of five when sitting in the audience of Torrington, CT's historic Warner Theatre. Since then, the constant need to sing, a desire to relay the human experience, the appreciation of a good laugh, and several backyard productions all pointed Jonathan toward his performance journey. He has appeared in productions all over Western Connecticut and NYC, notably working with Seven Angels Theatre, Warner Stage Company, Landmark Theatre, the Goshen Players, the York Theatre Company, and Marymount Manhattan College where Jonathan earned his BFA in Musical Theatre. His unending passion for the stage has afforded Jonathan the opportunities to found his hometown's first and only theatre company, become a board member with the Connecticut Community Theatre Association, and to continue providing his community with an artistic outlet as a director for many theatre programs.
Kudos to . . . the always impressive Jonathan Zalaski. I will miss Mr. Zalaski when he heads to Marymount Manhattan College of NY to pursue (what else?) Musical Theatre.
NANCY SASSO JANIS
The human cast is amazingly talented. Jonathan Zalaski manipulates Princeton the puppet and gives the fur ball a heart and feelings, all while Zalaski is singing and dancing.
JOANNE GRECO ROCHMAN
The boyishly charming, equally endearing Jonathan Zalaski is one of those tremendously gifted young actors whose love of theater and live performance is obvious from the moment he appears on stage. He loves every minute of it and so do we.
